Hi,

 

I’m the Grey Bearded Photographer (OK, there are still some original tones in the beard and the odd flicker of auburn sunset in the right light, but grey is now the prevailing colour).

 

I’ve had a keen interest in photography for many years, a passion which started as a young child when my parents bought me a subscription to National Geographic. I would often flick through the magazines in awe of the amazing photographs that jumped off the page, seldom ever reading the writing. This ignited a flame for travel and adventure, so as a young naïve teenager, I joined the Royal Navy to see the world and all it had to offer, which I most definitely achieved. Life, however, took a different turn a few years ago, and I returned from deployments with a new perspective on life and a new drive, so I decided to get behind the lens and capture the world as I see it, in all its uniqueness.

 

I have an absolute passion for capturing the fleeting moments in life which are often missed in our hectic world. This passion takes many forms: I love to capture the raw emotions of people through portraits and wedding photography; the sheer exhilaration of extreme sports; the beauty of nature; and the rugged, unforgiving landscapes of the world.

 

I like to think of my work as understated, yet rebellious at times.
